A few more Christmas decorations

These are a few of the decorations that I have on my front porch. The pics are not very good, I was in a hurry.

Snowmen "Heads"

I thought I would share how I made the snowman heads. First you need Styrofoam balls, as you can see I got these at a steal. I have had these a couple of years and was going to just use them as snowballs before I found the snowmen.
Next you will need white Crayola model magic. I found this at Goodwill for .99 on a Saturday when everything was 50% off the price it was marked. Again a steal, when I made these last year I got it at Wal-Mart for a couple of dollars.

I wanted my snowmen to be different sizes but you could make yours the same size.

The amount you use will depend on the size of ball you are using

Flatten

Be careful not to make it too thin or you will get this!

Begin wrapping around the ball, you can add more if you don't have enough.

Forgot to show the nose but just like when you were in kindergarten make a small worm, press to the head, twist to a point to make the perfect snowman nose. After the model magic has dried use orange craft paint for the nose using end of a paintbrush make small dots for the eyes and mouth. I plan on adding earmuffs to mine this year using pompoms and a small piece of wire across the top. I will post a picture when I get that made.

More Christmas Decorating

Here are a few more Christmas decorations, I love snowmen.

I got this at Kirkland's a couple of years ago, another snowman.

I got this lantern at Old Time Pottery this year. I loved it the minute I saw it. I had decided I wasn't going to buy any new Christmas decorations this year because I have so many, but when I saw this I gave in.

This tree is in my kitchen. I love the cookie cutter ornaments and kitchen utensils I got them at Freds several years ago. I bought the white balls at the Dollar Tree this year. So much for not buying anything new this year.

Love this snowman, I have had it several years.

I also love this Santa, the HoHoHo part is material, I bought this at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago when it was 50% off. Love that store. I also got the red glass ornaments there.

Don't you just love the tree topper!

Above is a mishmash of my snowmen, I got those red trees last year at Target after Christmas. Several of the glass snowmen came from Kirkland's, the wooden ones came from Old Time Pottery, and the metal signs I bought at the Dollar Tree. I also got the gold metal reindeer and red metal tree at the Dollar Tree.

Christmas Decorations 2010

I am so excited I finally am able to put pictures up again, still not sure what happened when I tried to upload pictures earlier. Anywho here are some pics of some of my Christmas decorations this year.

I made the snowmen last year using a foam ball and crayola model magic ( at least that's what I think the name of it was)

This is my Christmas tree, it rotates so the decorations are all the way around. Now that I can post pictures again I will take some more pictures of each side of the tree. I love my tree with all of the ornaments that bring back so many memories. Click on the tree to take a closer look.
